The light changes, and the days change with it: longer, richer, full of colour.

Everything Starts at the Castle
When winter finally loosens its grip, the mountains reveal themselves in full. Perched at the crossroads of three valleys, Castel Badia is where it all begins, with the Dolomites rising around it on every side.
Trails wind through forests and meadows, coming into bloom. Alpine lakes catch the sky again. Streams gather pace and break into waterfalls over rock. Some spend the day cycling through the valley, others find a quiet spot by the water for a picnic. Others want to see the Dolomites from a different perspective: from above and up in a paraglider.
Towns and villages are waking up, too. In San Lorenzo di Sebato, Brunico and the smaller hamlets in between, the streets fill with markets, events and festivals. To wander the lanes here in spring is to catch the valley at its most alive: unhurried, open and bright.
Open-Air Adventures
For kids, spring at Castel Badia turns the mountains into a world without limits. Between Brunico and Plan de Corones, a whole range of outdoor activities opens up for families: climbing, games and close encounters with barn animals to learn how to interact with them.
Back at the castle, little ones swap their outdoor gear for aprons and become proper chefs for the day. In a cooking class made just for them, they knead, experiment and discover that the best flavours are the ones you make with your own hands and share with the people you love.
A simple yet full-on spring. The children lead the way, and the grown-ups remember what it feels like to be amazed.
